About 23 years ago my mum and dad really splashed out on an amazing (kids') typewriter for me, with different inks and everything. They were thrilled with their buy, and as I loved writing, they bought nice paper and everything to go with it, knowing it would be the best, the most expensive present I'd ever had.
I completely ignored it, and instead grabbed onto the other present they got me - a Pound Puppy dog (small soft toy thing) that I called Sammy :heart2:. I never went anywhere without him, and when we went on holidays I'd leave him in the hotel room with books to read so he wouldn't get lonely whilst we were out all day.
He still sleeps in my bed, now, and I'm nearly 30. I have no idea if I ever used the expensive typewriter; I can't even remember what it looked like.
' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0 -
