Octopus Home Mini - How long for data?

My little gadget arrived yesterday and I set it up yesterday afternoon.  The light is showing white, which supposedly means it is communicating with my smart meter, but my app is showing no live data and no data for yesterday.  Before setting this up, normally I had access to the previous days data by around noon.

The app says it should only take an hour to start accessing the data.  We are now coming up to 24 hours.

All data before yesterday it accessible.

  • I'd give it at least another 24 hours before worrying - if it pulls the data once a day then depending on when that is/when you set it up, it might not have had a full 24 hours of data to when it pulled today and it might not display incomplete data

(disclaimer: I don't actually have one)

I got mine, yesterday, too. It took about an hour to start working but then stopped showing data after a few hours. The light had gone green. This morning the data was all up to date and it has been fine, since. I wonder if the hiatus was a software update?

Shame you can't see the data on your Octopus account, on a PC, rather than having to squint at a phone.

The mini is meant to provide real-time info for the electricity isn't it? Have you made sure that the mini itself is close to the meter? I have a feeling I spotted someone else saying that ideally it needs to be as close as is possible. I've not got mine yet although they have told me I should have it shortly - so I'm afraid I can't provide too much help!

Mine is about 7 metres from the meter, through two block walls, and is picking up the data OK.

Both of my meters are outside and I have connected the mini to a usb battery and placed the whole thing in the meter cabinet.  As yet there is no change.  Before it was next to my IHD, which is about three metres away from the meter, through a brick wall and plasterboard wall.

Mine is as far away as the IHD. Could your Mini be too far from the wi-fi?
