Looking for a laptop with screen brightness above 400 nits and with a magnetic power cable

Hi,
My laptop frequently gets dropped /knocked to the floor. Without giving too much boring detail that is not directly relevant to the question I am asking I am now looking for a laptop where the power connector attaches magnetically and has a screen brightness of 400+ nits. The laptop would only be used for email and for web browsing, including YouTube, so would only need a basic CPU, small amount of RAM and small storage device. Cheaper would be better, but I realise that a brighter screen and a magnetic power cable are features usually only found on higher end models.
I have seen a Microsoft Surface laptop with a magnetic power cable that had a nice bright screen.
I wonder if anyone knows of any other laptops that might be suitable.

You could convert a USB-C power port to magnetic charging with a simple cable adaptor

Ooh! Excellent - thank you - I had no idea such a simple thing existed.

Do all USB-C ports allow power in? If my laptop has a conventional power-in socket does that mean I can't power it via the USB-C port?400ixl said:You could convert a USB-C power port to magnetic charging with a simple cable adaptor
