Have the above but screen gone black have tried restart nothing 
am able to charge it and alarm works on it still but screen lose
I need to downloads stuff from phone but not able to see it when connect to lap top via usb  ? 
And how to see why not connect to lap top via usb 

What would it cost to get screen replacement and get factory reset

Sounds like USB on the phone is not in MTP (file transfer) mode.

You could install the Android ADB software on your PC and then run the command to set it in MTP mode.

adb shell svc usb setFunctions mtp

@aayush suggest you take it to someone who knows what they are doing !

@400ixl if the phone is connected to the PC as "USB charge only" will the phone accept any commands from the computer ?
