Missing student loan repayment statements

Hi all,

As many have,  I'm trying to establish whether I'm able to request a refund for student loan payments deducted when I was below the threshold.

I've logged onto the SLC website and I have no statements/correspondence between 2004 and 2016! I am absolutely certain I made repayments during this period and I remember being really cross because my income was relatively low due to working part time but once a year my bonus would bump my monthly salary up and SLC would take a payment.

I tried to check on my tax account but they only have 5 years history and when I called them I was told there is no way to get my p60s for anything more than 5 years prior.

Just wondered if anyone else had any experience similar?

Thanks

I have no idea if this would work, but have you thought of your NI contributions they seem to go back longer because of state pension.
  • Oh I hadn't actually- that's a good shout. Would I check these with HMRC also?
