Next credit

This is madness. Saw a blouse in Next for £38 but didn’t have my size! So ordered on line. Then given option to pay in 3 instalments and get £10 off.  Filled out credit form and then I get offered £3000 credit! Where is the sense?

It's not a bad limit, given it's just for one store.

But they may increase it in future if you manage it well.

Think about this one.....you've applied for credit (you would have had full pre-contract credit information to read and full terms and conditions to sign) and they've given you a sizeable limit for a retailer.....a) they are obviously happy with your application and believe you're good for £3k worth of debt and b) if they offer you £3k you MIGHT be very tempted to spend it, buying more NEXT products.....win win for them.
If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.

    Secured/Unsecured loans x 1
    Credit Cards x 8 (total limit £51,300)
Creation FS Retail Account x 1
    0% Overdraft x 1 (£0 / £250)
    Mortgage Outstanding - £138,087.38 (Payment 11/360)
    Total Debt = £1,125.00 (0%APR) @ £112.50pm

Is it possible 3 instalments options were Non Next such as PayPal or similar.
