hi iv just received a parking ticket from icelands folkestone kent the day i was there the ticket machine had a £1 coin stuck in it so it was out of order i left one of my girls in the car with a £1 coin to pay thr attendant if they came over i then told a member of iceland staff the ticket machine was jammed she said its alwasys doing that i was away from the car for 25m55s but did try and pay there was no attendant in the carpark to take my money ?

you should read the newbies/faq thread but you haven't told who the ppc is  if the car park is operated with anpr cameras there will never be a parking attendant  was there any option to pay by phone or app  you should now try plan a and get the landowner to get the pcn cancelled  is Iceland not the firm that contracted the ppc
?

Complain bitterly (but politely) to Iceland and ask, nay demand that they get this cancelled due to failure of their PDT. Of course if they want to lose you (and all you family and friends) as customers, they could just do nothing.

You can try to file a complaint and make a case, but if you don't have any evidence it will be difficult for them to take your word for it.

It's not a fine it's a speculative invoice from an unregulated private parking company.

Sorry but you are living in a bygone age if you still think there are nice parking attendants that patrol car parks helping people out in this way.

Private parking companies do not make money from parking charges they make money by people not paying or making a mistake, or parking slightly over a line, or over staying etc etc, they want things to go wrong it's generally known as scamming!

You are doing the right thing by complaining to Iceland, make sure you get it confirmed that they have cancelled it, PPC's are dodgy read the newbies thread and be prepared.

Not that it matters, though.

It'll be tedious old ex-clampers Excel Parking, and we beat them-in court.  It is not difficult for a Judge to listen to a witness and work out who is the honest party.

There are not many District Judges who are still being fooled by parking firm Claimants.
