ECP Appeal - already told them I was driver

Hi everyone! 

I'm really sorry in advance, I have read the newbies thread but have gotten a bit confused. Please let me know if there is an existing thread I should look at instead! 

I parked at the Morrisons Brighton a month ago and got a letter from Euro Car Parks telling me I'd gone over the time. I'd paid for two hours and stayed for 15 minutes over this - (11.12am-13.26pm). First 5 minutes were spent finding a spot and trying to work out how to use the machine before parking - last 10 minutes were trying to get the parking fee refunded in store. I gave up trying to get it refunded after the 10 minutes and went to leave as I assumed the standard 10 min grace period would be in effect. 

I appealed through their appeals process - but like an idiot I didn't read this thread first and told them I was the driver, gave them my information and explained my appeal honestly. They rejected this. 

Is there a way I can carry on with the advice this thread gives even though I admitted I was the driver? I have already now contacted Morrisons directly through their online form. Should I bother going through with appealing to POPLA? Should I just ignore it all? I really can't afford the maximum parking fine.

Yes try POPLA.

Say this in addition to the standard 'unclear signs/hidden £100'  and 'no landowner authority' points:

Now, my avatar pic gives you a clue that I'm a BHA fan local but I've never driven in to that car park. Can you get photos of the Entrance sign and a sign by the pay machine (but not zoomed in!) and/or a video of how long it takes to get parked there?

Is the entrance on Edward Street?

Isn't it a bit of a maze on entry with two storeys - or am I wrong?

You need to show POPLA how hard it is to navigate through and park; make sure it takes longer than 5 mins in your video (passenger holding a phone) or dashcam footage.

Just contact Morrisons through their customer service help hub page. There is even a dedicated section for customers who receive a PCN. They will usually get it cancelled if you can prove you were a customer on the day. (They have cancelled even when I was unable to prove for a relative that they ad only paid in cash at the cafe).

@ CouponMad - thank you for this! I really appreciate it! 
I moved out of Brighton last year and was helping a friend move out on the weekend I was back down so I won't be able to get pictures of the parking situation myself - would screenshots from google maps work or not really?
It isn't too much of a maze - I was more having trouble with working out how to pay for it and using the machine (which is silly i know, but I kept pressing restart like an idiot and having to redo it!)
