Gladstones LBC

Hi all,

I have a slightly strange situation hence the separate thread. In January and February, I regularly visited a friend who was unwell and parked in the visitors spot with the correct visitor permit. There is a 3 hour limit on the parking. At the end of February I noticed a parking ticket on the car for overstay and then received several more PCNs in the post from previous dates for the same reasoning. I successfully appealed the last PCN and phoned the UK CPM to cancel the previous charges under the same reasoning (that I did not overstay but simply visit regularly) and was informed over the phone that they would. I did not receive any more PCNs following this.

I then received a claim form regarding one parking charge. I submitted a defence and received the direction's questionnaire which I filled out early October.

But now I have received a 'notice reminder' for one parking charge for £170 and a letter before claim for 4 PCNs for £680 from Gladstones all relating to the PCNs incurred in Jan/Feb. I am confused as there seems to be no logical order to their approach. Do I have any defence based on the fact they're pursuing the claims separately and with no consistent approach?

Additionally, I submitted a SAR to UK CPM and they responded by requesting confirmation of identification, which I provided and I have not heard back from them. Do I just chase?

Thanks in advance for the help!
