Hi,
Can anyone tell me what the orange light is on my wired bells only intruder alarm please?
It's usually green.
I haven't had the alarm serviced for the last three years, alarm fitted four years ago.
My question is if is it the back up battery and as long as there is no power cut my house the alarm won't go off will it?
Thanks in advance.

If you know the manufacturer and other details of the alarm, you can just look up the manual online - I did for mine, not thinking it would still be there several decades later, but it was! Sorry I can't help more. (Have you tried resetting it - it seems to say 'disarmed' on the top).

I can't find the manual and there is no manufacturer;s name on the alarm. The disarmed message is simply because the alarm s not set while I am in the house.

If you do an image search with the photo you posted it comes up with several possible brands (Electronics Line/SecuPlace/Commpact), which might help you find the right manual. Unfortunately I'm not sure what part the orange light is for - visually, it looks a lot like the accessory described as a "wireless siren module", but you describe your system as wired.Never take a stranger's advice.
