Parking fine CP Plus LTD/DCBL bailiff

Hi I received this letter today- I have had no other correspondence from CP plus notifying or giving me a chance to lodge an appeal. I have a disabled badge so I’m unsure what I’ve done wrong.

I also moved house in December 2022 so wondering if they sent letters to previous address- my car however is registered at my current address.

It’s £170 I cannot afford this . Please can anyone offer any advice. Thanks

    Yes.

    Ignore it.

Come back here if you receive a court claim

These "bailiffs" have as much power to enter your home as the milkman does.

They are not acting as bailiffs in this case.

Ignore these letters EXCEPT YOU MUST RESPOND ONCE TO RECTIFY YOUR ADDRESS!  Send an email to the DPOs of DCB Ltd and CP Plus to tell them to ERASE the old address and note that your address for service is (new address).

Have you updated the address in your V5C yet? That has caused the problem and you had not changed it in June, six months after moving.  Do that too.  You are currently breaching DVLA rules.

Come back if you get a court claim form from DCBLegal because you can't ignore that, but that's the stage where you win!

But ONLY if you erase the old address.
NEVER LEAVE A PPC WITH A CHOICE OF ADDRESSES BECAUSE THEY WILL REVERT TO THE OLD ONE AND THAT RISKS A CCJ.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Firstly, take no notice of the BAILIFF stuff, they rely on scaring people from that rubbish TV proramme .. "Can't pay we'll take it away" as you can see from the bottom of the letter.
This is not going to happen to you, all you have is a bog standard debt collector letter adding fakes and mis-using the Supreme Court decision to even more scare you.   It's a fabrication

This is a legal who adds fakes for a living and this letter, you ignore

Where do you normally place your disabled badge ?

If you get a "LETTER BEFORE CLAIM" then come back here.  Until then, you ignore and NEVER PAY DCBL ..... YOU DO NOT OWE £170 ... IT'S FAKE

By the way, this thread shows you the antics of DCBL

What dispensations do you think the 'disabled badge' gives you when parking in a private car park (supermarket, hotel, railway station, airport, gym, health centre .... etc)?

You have left a name showing next to "Dear".
  • I got my DCBL invoice discontinued today. Once you receive the court claim, listen to the experts they will help you get this discontinued.
  • Please take the time to read and digest the Newbies/FAQ thread which answers all you questions. A skim-read is about as useful as a poke in the arm with a sharp stick. Read and study it so that you know exactly what happens when and what you should do about it.

I’m just saying I do have one hence why I was parked in a bay. Maybe there was other rules I was unclear of. However I have received no info or any letters about this fine. If I’m in wrong I would happily of paid the original ticket.

Thing with disabled badge holders parking on private land, they are subject to private parking rules, which are more often than not less favourable than local authority rules. For example, if you are parking on a private pay and display car park, in most cases, the BB holder is required to pay for their parking, if there is a 90 minute time limit, your BB doesn't get you 3 hours as on LA car parks, or on-road double yellow lines.

Private car parks are shark infested territory these days, and BB holders are more likely to make the assumption that they have special rules applying to them - they don't *, and so must be extra vigilant (and carefully read the signs) in any private car park. Better still, avoid them in favour of a council car park, or double yellow lines (where there are no yellow 'blips' on the adjacent kerbing).

(* Notwithstanding the 'reasonable adjustments' that could be provided under the Equality Act 2010].
