Morning, it's quite a nice one here, bright, cold though.
Yesterday was ok as well. We weren't out at all, but busy round the house.
This morning I'll visit my old friend, then go to the Book Club in the library, back by lunchtime.
Thanks everyone for the good wishes regarding my sore mouth, I feel a bit of a fraud, it's much better this morning, been using a medicated mouthwash.
I'm going to have to go, just realised I have hardly any charge on my tablet and it'll close down on me.
Bye for now11 -
Morning everyone and thank you for starting us off ScarletR
It looks like being a nice day, if a little chilly.
I am out today meeting friends and I'll also fit in a visit to Aldi.
Hope everyone has a good week. xx10 -
Morning all
Dry and sunny here which is such a nice change it’s meant to be nice for two days until the rain comes back Wednesday 🙄 Two people coming today and we are off to visit a local garden centre who put on the most marvellous Christmas display we will take a picnic and have a walk along the prom afterwards and get a cuppa somewhere.
I have just put a gammon joint in the sc which will do for dinner tonight with croquette potatoes and veg and then some left for sandwiches.
House is tidy and no washing to do for a change, I did a few bits in the garden yesterday but need to have some more time out there to tidy it up for winter.
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. After two reasonably nice days we are back to rain today. Not heavy, just that mizzly stuff that wets you through.
It was a different story last night with the blooming fireworks. There were more local ones going off and they were LOUD!! Fortunately they didn't go off too long.
This morning I have the postponed Covid jab. I was told to wait a month after being clobbered with the virus and now they are saying there is no need to wait. The rules keep changing.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones and MIA. Take care all, be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
It's bright and cold here too, rain is due later on but for now it's lovely.Yesterday I did the trek up to Oban, what a long time it took me, however the beautiful landscape was so worth it. Deep autumn colours from the trees, not a whisper of wind so all up Loch Awe the water was a mirror. Luckily the road was fairly quiet so I could look around a bit, only one car (Jag) doing 30mph on the road.I got my stuff done in Oban, stocked up in Marks, dropped off a return to Tesco and then drove home. It was an unexpectedly lovely drive though I'll be glad when the road here opens again - perhaps next weekend or a bit later. This morning my cleaner is coming so I've been tidying up little corners in the kitchen which seem to have become a small dumping ground. I hate clutter so have dealt with it once and or all. Once she's here I'll go out down the penisula a little way to see an installation of servicemen in the main street of Tarbert. I'll probably get caught in the rain.9

Morning all. The sun's shining here again.
Nothing major happening at the moment. DH is off to lunch with his buddies and DD is popping over later as she has an appointment for an eye test so I'll be in charge of the 5 week old for a while! We might go somewhere for coffee afterwards and I have a birthday card to buy.
Other than that I might delete even more emails and gear up to write the Christmas cards!
Happy Monday10 -
Morning all, raining hard through much of the night & still at it. Unfortunately it didn't last night- might have put some people off setting fireworks off- unbelievably loud, much worse than Sat. night and went on later too. Pooch had 2 lots of meds, one late afternoon & more around 9. She was still agitated but better than recent years.NRA, I'm so sorry to hear your sad news about MIL, hugs.Glad your mouth is better Scarlet & thanks for starting.Today DH is taking me out- we're going to look at mirrored wardrobe doors
at a trade place he knows, & bee&Q for wallpaper etc. The old stuff was stripped yesterday.
No idea what's for tea, prob either fish or chicken, better go and look in the fridge.WL I dread writing the cards, makes my hand painful. I might print out an insert , then just sign themHope your day goes well x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)9 -
