Heating/Boiler Issue

I have recently tried bleeding my radiators, the downstairs one was fine, heard the air coming out and then a little water, the upstairs ones...which were worse....hardly any air came out and no water!
I've just read that I should top up the system too and when I looked at the pressure on the boiler it was below 1 bar and on the display it is flashing "SE". There is a key underneath the boiler which I beleive it what I need to turn to top up the system, I've tried turning this but nothing happens, however there is a valve thing next to it but when I tried turning this I heard water coming into the boiler but water also staring dripping out of the bottom of the boiler.
I really don't want to call out anyone if I can help it. Can anyone help?

My home is usually the House Buying, Renting and Selling Forum where I can be found trying to (sometimes unsucessfully) prove that not all Estate Agents are crooks. With 20 years experience of Sales/Lettings and having bought and sold many of my own properties I've usually got something to say

Ignore......check!

hi m8
yes your filling it right , its a big white key , then next to it is a grey knob,
the white key if as you say the water is going in to the boiler is already open ,
so all you need to do is open the grey knob slowly and look at the guage on the front of the boiler , fill it till its just under 2 bar , turn off the grey knob ,
(carefully its only on a plastic seating )
GO ROUND AND OPEN RADS ONE AT A TIME TILL FULL THEN RETURN TO THE BOILER AND REFILL , THEN BACK TO ANOTHER RAD , ETC TILL ALL HAVE BEEN CHECKED AND FILLED ,
then only fill boiler to just over one bar , then turn the white key a 1/4 of a turn
switch on the boiler and check all is at it should be ,dont go over 2 1/2 bar on the guage otherwise pressure relief valve will activate and water come outside the building

hi
just re read your post water coming out .
the white valve may have to be turned 1/4 turn b4 filling ,
just look at the guage on the front when you first open the grey knob to confirm the water is actually going in the boiler????,
if the guage doesnt rise then turn white key 1/4 turn

Thanks.
Have done as you said but everytime I turn the small plastic knob...water starts to pour out and the gauge on the front doesnt move at all.My home is usually the House Buying, Renting and Selling Forum where I can be found trying to (sometimes unsucessfully) prove that not all Estate Agents are crooks. hi m8
ok you will need to turn the white key a 1/4 of a turn to open the boiler to accept the water, then turn the grey knob then follow as descibed in last posts
(WHEN COMPLETE TURN WHITE KEY BACK TO ORIGINAL POSITION
