Hello you very wonderful and amazing individuals that make up this forum. I sincerely hope you are having a good weekend.
I have found on a night during the week after work, i am spending alot of time on the internet listening to music videos as a way of unwinding. However this i feel goes on too late, then i am late having my tea at around 11pm. Then i am feeling exhausted the next day. I kindly wondered how i should reschedule things slightly should i set a time limit on this activity, or try change the activity completely and maybe do some light exercise in an evening please? If anyone kindly had any thoughts on this i would be forever grateful and thankful, it would be highly appreciated.
A very sincere very best wishes to you and i truly hope everything continues to go well for you. Hope you have a wonderful and amazing life. Take care.

If your working hours are somewhat like 9 - 5 I would think that eating so very late is really disrupting your sleep, even if you go to bed immediately after dinner. Well, especially if you go to bed immediately after dinner.
I know that both me and the OH spend too much time on the computer but our limitation is that dinner has to be served by 8. Still much too late by many people's standards but that at least means we have a couple of hours of TV or whatever after to let our food digest.
Would having a timer on your heating help? Our heating turns off about 10 which means by 11 the house is starting to get a bit too chilly to be sitting about and that's a good trigger to go to bed. I also know that there are certain radio programmes that start at 11 so aiming to be in bed works nicely - I might fall asleep listening but that's ok.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Tea around 11pm, is that a pre-bed cuppa or your evening meal?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. For a start don’t log on to the music videos? That seems to be the root of your problem. Assuming you're working a 9-5 day, go home, change, cook and eat dinner. Shower or bath and endeavour to be in bed by 11.
I worked 12 hour shifts for the emergency services for years so had to discipline myself into when I had my meals and went to bed.0 -
I try to stop all interactions with phone/computer at least 30-45min before settling down to sleep.
Eating a meal that close to sleep is most definitely not ideal either.0 -
Your current routine sounds unhealthy, as I think you imply ( just as sitting endlessly on an internet forum is no way to live , let alone healthily---which is why I make 2 trips of 30 minutes each a day or two to forums-----unless I am away on holiday or similar : for example , we will soon be going to spend the UK winter at our home in the Seychelles and will not be on this forum or any other for about 4 months) .
Just do what most adults would do without needing advice : decide on a routine which you feel is healthy whilst doing things that you like doing. Have you thought about varying the different evenings so there is no "set" routine, such as going out one evening a week, finding a hobby, taking a GCSE or A Level at night class, etc etc. Nobody loves music more than me , but every evening till 11pm without even stopping for an early or mid-evening dinner??????????? Work it out to suit yourself whilst making the most of our short time on earth, and bearing in mind healthy options.

Thinking about this more - it also sounds rather lonely. Maybe a hobby club or something would be a good idea. Social interaction can be very tiring and would make you more likely to get to bed early. If it's just music you're listening too, what about instead listening to them on your phone? I use the youtube music app.
That way you will still be able to move around the house, and do chores, exercise, cook dinner etc instead of being tied to your computer.
I listen to a lot of podcasts too, while I cook, clean out my pets & shower etc.

It just comes down to self discipline, we lost our broadband connection 2 weeks ago and our lives have improved massively. We've read, we've played cards and board games. We've tackled lots of little jobs we've put off because we aren't sidetracked by the Internet. We now watch a DVD rather than Netflix and we go to bed much earlier. We have at least another week before we can expect to be reconnected. Automatic compensation is £9.33 a day. Other than not being able to WFH, it's hard to find the downsides.Make £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023

Could you prepare food as a first task when you get in. While it's cooking, listen to the music videos. Later, what about an Audible book or a real one!0

Try to eat earlier and try new activities in the evening. This should help get your motivation up. Or even try cooking some meals you havent made before.0
