Pre Paid funeral - finding supplier after client has dementia

My mother in law told us she had pre paid her funeral shortly after we buried my father in law. She is now suffering severe dementia and in a nursing home.  We have POA and have sorted all her financial affairs but there is no sign any documentation re the funeral arrangements.  Is there any sort of register where we can search and find the plan she has paid for or shall we just forget about it and move on.  We can’t be the only people in this  position and obviously there isn’t much in it for the providers as it’s in their financial interests not to actually deliver the funeral.

A good start might be to contact the funeral directors used for your father. Often if a prepaid funeral is taken out shortly after the death of a partner it is done through the same FDs or on their recommendation.
