Using Messages on Chromebook linked to Android phone.

I have my Chromebook linked to my phone for Messages. When I send from the Chromebook, is it costing me more than it would if I used Messages on the phone itself i.e. does that eat up my data allowance?

Depends if you use RCS vs sms,
if the Message goes from the Chromebook over your local Wi-Fi probably not but I am not sure, not au fait with chromebooks.
edited again, of course the phone and the CB are on the same network at the time then probably not .
