HSBC credit card application doesnt exist

Hi. Im just off the phone with HSBC.I applied for a credit card that was listed on the website as one with a slightly longer period for 0% interest on purchases. As above they've told me theres no record of it after I tang about an update. I asked about reapplying again and they said it won't let you if an application already exists.  I was able to resubmit another application but Im wondering what in goodness sakes name is going on! Anyone else had any similar when dealing with them?

What is the website address you applied to? Are you sure it is a genuine site and not one set up to capture your details?

It's entirely possible that there was an internet fail at the moment you hit "submit" which meant your application didn't actually go anywhere.  Hopefully it will be a case of second time lucky!
