Sole trader proof

So I've decided to start selling some bits on eBay to make some extra cash so I've signed up to a bulk order company. You can only buy from them if you are a registered limited company or sole trader. They are asking for my company name and registration number (is this just my name and self assessment urn)? But they are also asking me to upload business docs such as UTR registration and I don't know what this is. I am registered for tax self assessment do I need to do something different for sole trader? Checked in HMRC and every time I say I did a tax return last year they say I don't need to do anything else. So am I a sole trader and if so how do I prove it?
Thanks
Thanks

I'm sorry I can't answer your question about sole traders.
FYI, I think there is a board for small business somewhere on this forum which may be better suited for this type of query if yo uask for it to be moved (there is also one for selling on e-bay).0 -
A UTR is a unique taxpayer reference. It will be on your tax return. If you registered for self assessment but not self employment, you should also register to pay class 2 NIC:
