We have a pip form on the way and ive been reading about some of the questions they ask you.The mobility questions confuse me (ive never been the brightest lol) it's about the understanding and planning a journey, my hushand had a stroke in august his right side is affected, his right arm is still paralysed, he has a licence but obviously he can't drive because of his stroke,he understands things,he needs constant supervision because he's at risk of a fall,he can't walk far and he's unsteady on his feet,im not sure how to answer the question in my husbands situation.
Massive thank yous for any help offered

If he's unable to walk or has difficulties walking then it will be "moving around" part of mobility that you need to look at.Following and planning a journey is related to mental health, cognitive and sensory impairments. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/personal-independence-payment-assessment-guide-for-assessment-providers/pip-assessment-guide-part-2-the-assessment-criteria#mobility-activitiesDon't forget there's also 10 daily living activities that he maybe able to score some points with. There's more links posted on your other thread here, did you have a read of those? https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6481640/when-can-we-apply-for-pip#latest

Mobility is split between “physical” eg how far you can walk and the “cognative” eg have the mental capacity to work out a route/follow instructions. Just because a claimant cant drive due to physical capability doesn't automatically mean they cant plan a journey. I would ask if the stroke has effected his cognitive function including memory, this is what you might be considered for? Is there any other conditions that might effect their ability to plan/carry out a route.Proud to have dealt with our debtsStarting debt 2005 £65.7K.

Luckily the stroke hasn't afftected his mental capability so we probably won't score anything on that0
