HSBC £205 sign up bonus - Do you need HSBC Advance Account?

I was only approved for the HSBC current account, does that still make me eligible for the £205 sign up bonus ending on Monday?

Also, on the current account it says that "You’ll need to pay at least £500 a month into the account each month" - is that really a condition?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

You need an Advance or Premier account - a standard current account won't qualify.
