That link says we use 14,855kWh of gas per year, supplied by Octopus. We don't have gas available.
But you have to chose electricity only lol
  • The IHD for power draw is accurate.  The only thing to be aware of is it's not instantaneous, the meter reports every ten seconds.  But it's certainly accurate enough to track down high usage.

I'll echo this. The IHD gets its data from your smart meter, and the smart meter is what you're billed on.

Yes, fish tanks can use loads of energy. What temperature is the water heated to?

There seems to be a lot of pfaffing around in this thread when it’s really quite simple. The OP is wondering why he or she is paying more now than in spring 2022.  It’s because prices - unit costs and standing charges - have risen considerably over that period and she likely didn’t notice it last winter because of the government intervention.

    It’s not rocket science.

If your boiler is broken and the house unheated the fish tanks will also be using more to keep the water temperature up. In addition to temperature, how big are the tanks?

I had a guess at what your usage for £60 a month may have been and its not a low user that is out at work all day 6 days a week, From the readings you have given its now 9.4kwh a day average, so not a 'low' user.

If you don't have 2-3 freezers, then its likely the fish tanks.
