I received this email from MBNA which in my opinion does nothing for people who cannot login and whom are not Computer Literate .... Herewith the statement From MBNA
We’re getting in touch to let you know from 1 November 2023 we’re changing the way we send statements for some credit cards. We’re experiencing some issues and may not be able to send as many by post as we normally do. As you use Online Services, we’ll only send your statements to you digitally. This means you’ll only be able to see them in Online Services or our MBNA Mobile App and we’ll send you an email to let you know when they’re ready. We’re sending you a letter which will include a list of your credit cards affected so please look out for this.
All very well for MBNA however think of this....I for one am Aged 87 My Wife is not computer Literate and I have to stay in Hospital sometimes, if and when that happens she cannot login to read statements and pay the account on time. That's all. try and Email MBNA IMPOSSIBLE They at one time always sent posted Statement's.

I went online to my account to check but mine says being able to change to paper statements isn't currently available online. M&S did something similar a year back but then updated their system so it may change for MBNA as well.
Meanwhile I think you'll have to ring them which I agree is a bit of a pain.
They should have the facility to log your account as belonging to someone who would be considered vulnerable due to age. Many banks consider anyone near or above state pension age to be in this category. They are sure to have the ability to turn paper statements back on for you and if they cannot log a complaint to say you are being discriminated against because of your age, health and vulnerability.Online Services

While I get what you are saying. Do you not have a DD set up to pay either full statement or minimum given your situation.
As a CC is a sole account technically your good lady should not have access to it. Especially via online means, which could lead to the access being blocked.Life in the slow lane1
