Can't move monitor displays in Windows settings

I'm using 2 stand alone monitors attached to my laptop via HDMI cables. Normally I have the display on my 2 monitors and close my laptop up. For some reason since I rebooted my laptop this morning the laptop screen and one of my monitors are working, but when I shut my laptop down the 2nd monitor doesn't have any display on it. There is power going to it. I've looked in settings in Windows and when my laptop is open and first display and the laptop display are both large icons showing one and 3 next to each other, then at the end there's a small 3. I've tried moving it but it won't move. Anyone any ideas how to fix this issue. It's driving me mad. Thanks.
