it looks like there are chinese companies on ebay selling off the shelf minus lenses.
surely this is a good idea for people driving at night .
they sell reading glasses off the shelf in boots m&s etc
all it is is the lense doing the opposite effect?
i just a pair of emergency -1.00 to make driving a little easier.
when you have to spend £50 plus choose a frame get measured up then wait for them to arrive it hassle. they upsell ant reflective coating etc.
could i buy some readers +1.00 and turn the arms the other way? or flip the lenses around?

Definitely not.  +1 each lens needs to be thickest in the middle, for -ve the lenses are thickest at the rim and thinnest in the middle.
Anti reflection is really worth it for night driving and other car's headlights.
You can do a lot less harm to other people if your vision isn't good for reading than if your vision isn't good for driving.

  • My latest glasses were £15 inc lenses from Specsavers. I tried on every pair up to £200 then settled on these and I love them.
