Octopus Flux - Give energy battery settings

Looking for advice on how flux and the battery settings will work.
I understand I can set the battery to charge between 2am and 5am.
If during the day some of the battery power is consumed will it get topped up by solar again? Or will it not charge because of the timed setting?
Would I have to turn this timed setting on and off each day?
I have 12 panels, a 5kwh battery and normally use around 12kwh per day.

Yes, it will be topped up by solar. I used to be on Go, and am still on a time of use tariff, and charge at night. Battery operates as normal outside the defined charging period. Enable dynamic mode and timed charge.0

There are problems with Give Energy Batteries and timed charging and discharging. I have a *kwh battery which is still under guarantee. I've programmed it through the app to charge at offpeak times and export at peak times. Unfortunately the battery ignores this and charges during the night then immediately discharges. This means we pay to charge it and then it basically gives at least half back to the grid for which we get nothing. Trying to get Give Energy to sort this but they don't respond. The b attery started doing this after a firmware update just before C hristmas 20240
