SSONTONG vehicle blackbox DVR car dashcam

I bought this item on Amazon:

Dash Cam, Dashcams for Cars Full HD 1080P Car Camera Front with 32G SD Card, Super Night Vision Dashcam, Dash Camera w/WDR Loop Recording G-Sensor Parking Monitor Motion Detection Dashboard Camera

It's supposed to be able to connect to my phone via WiFi but when I go to settings, the camera does not appear in my choices to connect, why?

Difficult to suggest anything without a manufacturer or model. Does it come with a manual? Do you have to enable WiFi on the dashcam? Is your phone looking for 2.4 GHz WiFi, if that is what the dashcam supports?
Edit: sorry, just saw in the title it's SSONTONG, but still can't see it on Amazon.

On most of these sort of devices you need to install an app that the device connects to.  You probably can't connect to it like if it was a router or something.

Millions of cheap dashcams with fake specs on Amazon.  I bought a not so cheap one and it also had fake specs. Returned
and left appropriate feedback with the true specs and the seller offered to pay me to remove it which I refused.

Report it to Amazon that the seller has offered you cash to remove bad feedback.  hat's a policy violation that you agree to when you sign up to sell on Amazon (assuming this came off the Marketplace?)

Above is worth doing, but you may want to return it and get your money back first. :)
I reported a seller I had bought goods off (which were cheap but OK) after they sent me a letter offering me more of the same goods in exchange for a 5 star review. Amazon shut the seller down.

Yeah I got bugged to leave 5 star review for something or other.  I rarely leave reviews for stuff I buy on Amazon, and even when I do its for stuff shipped directly from Amazon rather than the marketplace, which is where I think I got the item I was bugged to write a 5 star review for.

Anyway Reported the seller to Amazon and never heard from them again.

I didn't report it, did not cross my mind that it was something to be reported. Nothing threatening just a seller who tried it on
and got the wrong customer. I thought my review with detailed specs was enough to put people off buying that product in future.

I will look into that if it ever happens again. Thanks.
