As per an email from Chase that I have just received.
I believe that payments into Chase have been in CoP for a while.

Pay with peace of mind
Thanks to Confirmation of Payee, when you pay someone for the first time, we can instantly tell you if their account info matches up (just as long as their bank offers it too).

Does this also apply the other way round?
Whenever I pay money into my Chase from my Monzo, I get a message up each time warning me the details cant be verified, proceed at your own risk etc etc.0 -
I have just edited my post, but am sure some banks do recognise Chase in CoP. I will just go and check now.la531983 said:Does this also apply the other way round?

My Chase payee in RBS is showing as confirmed.
However it is not in NatWest which I guess was set up before Chase signed up for inward confirmations.
I can't comment on Monzo but what you say does sound a bit odd.0 -
Ah, it says the details dont match, this may be because I set the recipient name as "First initial Second Name CHASE", just to differentiate it from my other account.
I deleted the word CHASE and now its come back saying my middle name is missing, so yes you can call the dogs off.2 -
I have noticed that some banks come back with a "close match" result and some also say what that close match is.la531983 said:Ah, it says the details dont match, this may be because I set the recipient name as "First initial Second Name CHASE", just to differentiate it from my other account.

Some banks also allow you to change the payee name after a payee has been verified, which would allow you to differentiate accounts in your payee list.0 -
Yeah with the word CHASE at the end of the name it wasnt even giving me a close match option.0
