Car insurance question following claim
poppep
I had an accident a few years ago, wasn’t my fault but the other driver said it was so it was due to be heard in court but a few weeks before I was advised that his side hadn’t paid the court fees. My insurance put an offer on the table they accepted. So basically he hasn’t admitted liability but the claim can’t be made again and my insurance is being reimbursed for what they paid out etc.
I didn’t protect my no claims so I lost that when this happened.
can I put on a renewal form that I’ve been in an accident but it wasn’t my fault?!
very confused.
thanks for reading.
I hope someone has the answers
thanks.

My insurance is due for renewal- my question is two part.
A) can I get my no claims years back as they are being reimbursed for what they paid out.
very confused.

Your insurer made an offer which therefore sounds like its gone split liability... if not then you need to confirm what the "offer" was.
Assuming I am correct...
1) No, there is no difference between liable and partially liable, both take the same NCD
2) No, it is a "fault" claim. Some proposal forms ask for more detail in which case you could put its a split liability decision.1
