Hi, my husband & I are looking to get a joint bank account. Do we both get the cash back for switching?
If not, what’s the best way around this?
Both switch accounts, then switch to a joint?
Would like to maximise the offers 😊
thanks

Check the terms, they should explain it all.I'd suggest choosing a joint account that suits your needs long term, and each having a spare account that you switch around to get bonuses.1

As above, it depends on the terms of the particular switch incentive you're looking at.
Generally however, the best way is usually to have each person do a sole switch. Pretty much all switch incentives (with Nationwide being the notable exception) will only pay out 1 incentive per account, regardless if it is sole or joint, so 2 x sole switches means double reward.
If you legitimately want to switch a joint account for reasons other than the incentive, then you can do so separately after each being paid the sole incentive.1
