Sky Go

Hi

I live in the UK but will be going to the Republic of Ireland shortly for a few days.

My question is will my Sky Go work in Ireland. I just want it really to see the football.

Thanks

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/viewing-sky-content-in-the-eu-faqs - "You're not entitled to stream Sky outside the UK using your Sky Go, Sky Kids, Sky Sports, and Sky Sports Box Office apps. Some Sky apps will allow you to download your favourite shows and movies over WiFi before you leave home to watch offline while you’re abroad."

However that being said... VPN may be an option depending on how long you're going for.

Many pubs in Ireland show football from the UK, it'll be on a big screen rather than a phone screen and you can have a pint at the same time.

VPN may not be enough to fool the app, they also query the location of the device. Recently in the Canaries I had spotty success using the Sky Go app on an iPad.

VPN and switching off location services is usually enough to get Sky Go streaming outside of the UK.

VPN and if no success with SkyGo there are many streams available to watch games if you know where to look. If using streams, still use VPN
