Historic subsidence - recommended companies for quotes

Hi, I'm looking at buying a property that has had some minor subsidence 21 years ago - drain collapsed and it was rectified under insurance. Been going through the comparison sites/independents and managed to get a few quotes that are acceptable (£360-420 for a 4 bed semi). I was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a company that might be worth trying? (Direct line and NFU coming out at £700) Thanks

How did you get the DL quote? You cannot get a quote from them online if you've ever had subsidence and on the phone depends on if over 20 years ago and mechanism of resolution
Are you needing subsidence cover going forward (eg you have a mortgage) or would you consider cover without it?
You will often find yourself locked into the insurer that dealt with the subsidence cover and only then if there has been continuous cover with them since. If it's in an area prone to subsidence then speaking to a local broker may help.0
