Claim form receieved

I have received a claim form for a PCN issues in 2019
Claimant MET parking Services LTD via DCB Legal

The complication is
1. I no longer own the car in question
2. I moved address a year ago and received this claim form on new address.

I tried reading the newbies section but it is confusing me a lot, can some please tell me course of action on this?

I have gone to money claim and completed the AOS with intent to defend all of this claim.

now I need to know 2 things

    1. How do I raise SAR against DCB Legal.
    2. I do not remember this ticket , how do I get more details about this PCN

    Hello and welcome.

What is the Issue Date on your Claim Form?
Upon what date did you file an Acknowledgment of Service?

The fact that you no longer own the vehicle is irrelevant.

You are not doing a SAR. You are defending.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You don't need it. Use the Template Defence.

With a Claim Issue Date of 23rd October, and having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 27th November 2023 to file a Defence.

That's over three weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence but please don't leave it to the last minute.
To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look at the second post in the NEWBIES thread.
Don't miss the deadline for filing a Defence.

Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.

    Thank you @KeithP

If I don't remember the details of the ticket then it would be hard to create a defence :(
    any guidance on this please?

  • Have a re-read of the PoC on your claim form. You are defending against those PoC, nothing else. Without seeing your claim form I will bet you £100 that they do not state what terms you allegedly breached, only that you breached them.

Use the template defence and include the preliminary matter of the CEL v Chan judgment and you can almost guarantee that this will be thrown out at allocation stage. Even if it wasn't, it would be discontinued before it ever got to a hearing.
