Some very cheap insurances here! I have done some comparing, however, I don’t know how much my current insurers will charge. It’s not due until 1st January. Will they tell me what it is going to be? How can I compare?
They will contact you 3-4 weeks before your renewal is due with their quote for you to stay with them. Most insurers won't quote 2 months out so you are too early to start shopping.
I thought there were 2 or 3 insurers that would quote from 60 days out?

But with 100+ quoting on a shorter timescale what's the value of seeing 2-3?

What's the value of locking in a quote at current prices? I would say that depends on what happens to prices in the next month.
It's not too early to start shopping, but don't buy until you have a wider range of quotes.

  • I’m on a comparison site and I’m stuck as it’s asking for the total cost of a previous claim I made in 2019. I’ve tried to get this from the insurer at that time but not having any joy. it won’t let me move on until I enter this information.

Make up a plausible number and CYA by letting whichever company you choose know that it is just a guess. The exact number usually isn't that vital.
