Parking Eye fine at Lidl. Resolved.

Hello.
Please forgive this new thread on a subject that has been covered before. I am getting on in years and found the previous threads quite confusing and somewhat daunting.
I thought it might be useful to share my recent experience for other folks in a similar situation.
After shopping at Lidl and loading everything into the car, I didn’t feel too well and sat in the car for an hour before being able to drive home… and hence received a parking fine notice from Parking Eye in the post a week later.
I immediately appealed the fine through their online form. I now realise this was probably a hasty mistake, but we live and learn. As I write this message, I haven’t heard back from Parking Eye regarding this appeal.
I went back to the store to ask for help but they were useless.
Anyway, after reading internet message boards, I decided to contact [Removed by Forum Team] and explained the situation.
The next day a reply arrived from his assistant requesting copies of my shopping receipt and the notice from Parking Eye. I replied and included the images on the email.
Within an hour the CEO’s office replied to say the fine had been cancelled.
Hope this account might help somebody else.
Take care.

PE will usually cancel where there is evidence of a minimum spend at Lidl on the day of the parking event. We believe that minimum is ~£30. Well done @ToastMarmite (you don't really like that do you? 😩) in working through previous threads on the forum and using that information to go to the top and email CEO Ryan McDonnell. But I must say how I hate that condescending 'gesture of goodwill' rubbish. Nonetheless, you've won, nice one. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

When I went into the store to appeal for help the manager was really dismissive and said I should have approached them on the day. They also claimed Lidl did not have the authority to request a cancellation, which is obviously a lie.
The fact that I was feeling unwell on that day and the thought of getting a parking ticket never entered my head was entirely lost on them. Not a great experience, but at least the CEO sorted it out.4 -

Well done on getting this cancelled. You shouldn't have had to go the the Chief Executive but it worked, which is the main thing. Hope you're better now.3 -
I'd pop in and tell the manager.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
