Parking eye / dcb legal

Son in receipt of N1SDT claim form from ParkingEye. Verbally landowner has said they would try and cancel original notice from 2022 but can’t do it through their system. DCB legal wouldn’t listen so carried on regardless . Slightly confused by multiple posts as to which stage I have jumped to ! Can I respond in email to the claim or do I have to complete the form (via their money claim.gov.uk site) …. Hotel car park and was only there 10 minutes to drop someone off !

What is the Issue Date on your son's County Court Claim Form?

I think there is a little too much use of the word 'I' in your post.
It is important to realise that everything from this point onwards must be done in the name of the named defendant.
  • Your son now needs to read the second post in the Newbies/FAQ thread to understand what needs to be done and by when. It has to be in his name.

Newbies/FAQ thread explains how to respond.

What is the "issue date" of the claim?
  • Appreciate it has to be from him - typing on my phone ! Just easier

    letter dated 23/10
  • found thread - very clear . Thanks . He will carry on and follow the stages

With a Claim Issue Date of 23rd October, you have until Monday 13th November to file an Acknowledgment of Service but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it..
To file an Acknowledgment of Service, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.
Having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 27th November 2023 to file your Defence.
That's four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.
To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service guidance.
Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.

Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.
