Help with documents to prove past car ownership

Hello
I am hoping to claim for compensation as part of the diesel emissions issues with Nissan, my past care is eligible. I have shredded my documents as proof of purchase (2014) Does anyone know if DVLA would be able to forward proof to me (I have checked their website but cannot see anything re general enquiries). Help appreciated

What diesel emissions issues would these be?
As far as I know the diesel "cheat" device issue was purely on VW vehicles in the US.1 -

'Eligible' in what way ? Under a class action or that you're considering making a claim yourself ?
Currently only VW have made any settlement, Mercedes have a court case in a year and any others are pie in the sky at the moment.
All DVLA will be able to share (if they do indeed share the history) is that you were the registered keeper. You'll need something more than that (i.e. your own records) to show that you were the owner (or were leasing and therefore had a financial interest)1 -
