British Gas Bill.

Hi all. I paid my last bill on Sept 12 and now 24th October 2023 I received another one. 
I contacted them via phone, a fifteen min wait presented me with a lady I just couldn't understand. There was also a time lapse which added to the confusion. 
I tried to explain my usual customer number was different to the number that was on my latest bill. I had to end the conversation by telling her I thought it was a scam and I refuse to pay it. I phoned them via a different number but I was answered by what I thought was the same lady. I ended the call. 
I have explained my problem through their customer service e mail, I'm not expecting a quick reply or even a reply.

    BG have been shifting customers over to their new system, which gives you a new account number.
    You can still log in using old details.
