V bad photo's - Please can anyone advise

Hi - I received a Parking Charge on the East coast during Storm Babet and, as this is a first for me, wondered if there were any grounds to appeal on the basis of the quality of the second photo.  I realise my number plate is there but, as you cannot see the car, does that prove what they are alleging?

Standard ANPR images during nightfall, in fact they are clearer than many. It's the VRM plate that is targeted. Which parking firm has sent you the parking charge notice?  Please read the NEWBIES FAQ Announcement, first post, to set you on the way to dealing with the charge.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

As above ANPR means Automatic Number Plate Recognition technology, not High Definition photos of your car!
  • Hi

Thank you for clarifying - I couldn't find anything about the photo's on the Newbies forum.  The firm is UKPC in answer to yiur question.  I am so trying not to pay this so will keep reading!!

Tell us about what you are alleged to have done wrong.
  • As you are dealing with the incompetent and intellectually malnourished UKPC, you should not contemplate paying a penny to this scammer. Eventually they will either issue a claim themselves or use the equally bottom-dwelling DCB Legal. Either way, this will either be thrown out at allocation stage or else be discontinued thanks to their roboclaim incompetence and the robust defence from this forum.
  • KEITHP - I have been sent the charge for overstaying the duration apparently allowed at a McDonalds in Cleethorpes - it was during Storm Babet and the storm conditions on the East Coast meant that I didn't see any signage at all and, being on holiday, I didn't have a clue there was a time condition in place.

UNCLETOMASCOBLEY - I really appreciate your post - I do feel the same, but, in the absence of knowledge about these companies I have waivered about contesting or appealing this.
In light of your message I will appeal this charge and continue to learn about the best way to proceed - I have also banked the words "intellectually malnourished" for future use!!

    Thank you for your help.
  • You can appeal but you rewashing your time. Have you tried Plan A yet?
