Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc, hope work is ok for you.
Looks fairly calm outside and not too cold, it rained all day yesterday but seems to have stopped this morning.
Back to work for me today after the celebrations - it was an amazing day full of love, fun and happiness. I ended up with the little one and DGS with me after - 3 of us in a double bed, those two the right way and me laid across the bottom!
Once I get home from work today I'm doing nothing but slob about in my PJs, really hope it's a quiet day.
I'll catch up with all your news later, hope everyone is well. Take care. XX9 -
What a night Camelot! I’m surprised you got any sleep. I'm so glad it all went so well. 💕
My evening at the theatre was really enjoyable. Dawn French was funny, as you’d expect. My hotel is about 20 yards from the theatre so I had a glass of wine in quick fashion.I’m off for breakfast then taking my car in for its annual service on the way home. I take it to my old Vauxhall dealer even though mine isn’t. They are good to me!Cooked breakfast and coffee coming up!9 -
Morning allLast day of menagerie sitting today. DS and family back to 13 degrees but at least it says it's going to be dry instead of 28 degreees and hot brrrrrrrrr.Mopping muddy doggy footprints is the task of today, a quick tidy and then home this afternoon to fish and chips takeaway as it's my DH's birthday today and that's what he wanted for dinner so who am I to argue?Have a good day everyone x8

Morning all
Its been raining all night and meant to rain all day too the sky looks full of it and the roads are already badly flooded, I think I will stick to the main roads today. Only Rob coming today as the other lady has an appointment but we are going to meet another lady and her client who is Robs friend and take them bowling and then for a McDonald’s, at least there will be no worries about his lunch today !DD is working a late sleep tonight so just OH and I here for dinner I did extras with the roast yesterday so we will have that today nice and easy just need to heat it up.
I need to have a quick tidy through and run the hoover over no washing to do today.
Camelot I’m so glad the day went well xxx
Have good days all and take care xx7 -
Hi everyone,
Just a quick one before I am interrupted by the whirlwind. He's back to pre-school today so the house will be a bit quieter, although I'm sure Esther will make up for it, she has an almost bat high screech, although she usually reserves it for when Esben is entertaining her.
I feel much better today for my day of sloth, I did a little gentle towel washing and folding and that was about it. The house is more or less tidy in preparation for the cleaner. I need to decide what to have for dinner.
Have a good day.7 -

Morning all. Blue skies here but am sure it will soon change.
Yesterday was spent pottering and doing laundry then I went to a pub music session in the evening. Gave a friend a lift and she bought the drinks.
I have my Covid jab this morning plus I must phone the dentist to get this temporary filling replaced. Other than that I might make some shortbread later and we have salmon and roasted veg for dinner. I've been looking at veggie meat loaf type recipes so if anyone has a nice one please let me know. DS now has a non meat eating girlfriend so I might need to up my game!
Camelot; well done for managing to sleep like that. Pretty sure I couldn't do it and I'm not very tall.
Look after yourselves folks.8 -
Morning all and thanks for the start @nmlc x
Have spent the weekend in self-care/preservation mode. I received the contract for my new job on Friday afternoon – they are putting me in at the bottom of the pay scale which is a £5k drop. Not that it’s all about the money, but that is a huge drop for me, so I’m now going to have to negotiate which is butt-clenching. That, plus current work stresses and of course DDad’s news sent me into a teary mess for most of Saturday. We cancelled plans to see friends and hunkered down. Feeling a bit brighter for it so obviously much needed.
Glad the wedding went so well @camelot1001 – had to laugh at your sleeping arrangements x
I love Dawn French @Gers – glad you enjoyed the show and safe journey back x
Enjoy your time away with DD and DGD @dp1 x
We are off to a gig tonight at the Royal Albert Hall – Soul II Soul if anyone remembers them? I can name precisely two of their hits so it’ll be an education.
Have a good day all and hugs to the poorlies x
