NSD 19 today. It is really easy not to spend when you feel you have to be in the house to babysit builders and open and close doors.... I think we are half way through the build now.Thank you for running November @apple_muncher I have spent an awful lot of money this month, but all of it was budgeted for and will come from savings. No borrowing anymore. It is a good feeling to have.See you all on the other side in the December thread - ho ho ho!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Another dark morning. Pottered a but before breakfast & put some things away before the first visit by DS3's GF tomorrow. Still lots of piles everywhere, but can't be helped - a small house with no storage! Heard back from the architect, she's not taking on any more work until she's cleared her backlog, but recommended someone else, so an email has been sent to him.
A good day at work, despite staff & pupils dropping like flies! A teacher told me today that I'm good with the 1:1 pupil in their class, which made me smile.
Took DS3 to get his stitches out after work, only took 2 seconds!
Phonecalls with my brother & mum after tea, followed by some hand sewing.
Grateful for my mask protecting me from bugs, contacting GF's mum who told me DS3 is lovely, decluttering some items this month, making savings in some areas, standing up for myself, that I can start wearing my festive tops to work from tomorrow 🤣
See you on the other side 🐢🐢🐢Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Thanks for running November Sparkles, @apple_muncher!
Think I achieved 8NSDs which is the most I've ever managed! Surprised how happy I feel about it.
Donated corned beef and tuna to the food bank via Tosco. Have also got some new toothbrushes and tennis balls for the shoebox appeal. Usually I buy little toys and bits and bobs from the carboots for them but the season has finished.
Have ordered 6 special Christmas cards for close family in a sale. They should arrive next week. Need to get one to send to my OH's DD in NZ and post it tomorrow. OH hasn't posted his yet so they should arrive together. We send seperate cards so that she has more to put up as there aren't many family members left now to send any.
The garage has told OH that they've inspected his car and it is dead. He could spend £1.5K+ to try one last thing but this has dragged on since Sept and cost a fortune. The car's only worth about £3K fully working. He's finally thinking of buying a newer car as the weather is getting really bad and he's having to go to work on his motorbike and that's no fun and dangerous late at night.
Grateful for: A nice walk in the frost and sunshine to feed the birds and squirrels, OH finally admitting his car needs replacing, some secondhand magazines from our next door neighbour.
Looking forward to December's challenge. X

Yesterday ended up being NSD 18 as not much got done during the day. But the man who was coming to visit to see if the husky would work at his house came by with his granddaughter and they took the dog out for a long walk - over 1/2 hour. They will be coming back again next week to take her to a dog park to see how she does. If they can take her, I will miss her - but she needs a good home with people who know what to feed her, talk to her and where she has other dogs to play with. So I am torn. But she is just too big for this house. Tomorrow the young man is coming to clean the pool. He missed coming on Tuesday. When he comes, we have to bring the dog in, so she will be coming in tomorrow also for a little while. But she doesn't see us enough during the day.
Today three of us went for blood tests. We all needed them at the same time. We were going to run errands after we had breakfast out, but that was as far as we got before they were ready to go home. I treated one of the roommates to breakfast, so not a NSD today. Worked on family history most of the day and then went to work at the FamilySearch Center tonight. They are having a special event there on Saturday which will mean that Di and I will be spending the day there to help out also.
Thank you @apple_muncher for this month's challenge.6 -
Apple thanks for running November, I just lost my overview post and I am devastated as was having a lot of fun sharing what I have been up to.
All I am going to say now is - bring on the season of light - reflection - fun - and celebration.
