Winter Fuel Payment - DWP failure

So, this year is my first to receive Winter Fuel Payment (last year I missed by 3 days).
Received my notification letter from DWP, for a £250 payment.
I thought it should be £500 first time (my wife is not eligible until next Winter). But letter claimed there was a Eligible person in my household.
Then I checked the letter more closely, NI number - Tick, Bank Account - Tick, Address - wrong!
They had my old address (we moved in 1994), same postcode different house number. I assume the postman just knew it was for me, he is a regular and may not even have spotted to discrepancy.
Now I know that I get letters from DWP at the correct address for my State Pension.
So I phoned, apparently Winter Fuel Payment is a separate system, hence the discrepancy. Now all corrected. I assume this also means the occupant of my old house (a widow living alone) will also be set the wrong amount, so I hope this fixes their payment too.
You can't make it up!
