Cannot get insurance quotes online

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone can help?

I've had an issue getting quoted for car insurance online for few years now, and I'm quite concerned.

It all started when I was a late teen. I would try:

All sorts of cars (to see what I should realistically have been considering)

Job titles (I was looking for jobs at the time...)

Combinations of second drivers to see how it would impact the quotes

Different addresses (I was also moving house!)

So as you can see, it was the perfect storm for variability, and everything was a factor I was considering and happy to adjust, so for example if an area was too pricey for insurance, I'd look elsewhere.

I'm older now, and the only variability I have is what car I may want to purchase. However, I seem to trigger some anti-fraud measures when I use comparison websites, and it's not my email/account but my actual details as I've also tried making a separate email and quoting - but this still gives no results. It may also be other insurers as I can't seem to get quoted on direct line either - which used to be fine when I was younger...

I'm not looking at insuring anything abnormal, and my area is reasonable with general low insurance rates, and when I call companies I can get normal quotes fine.

Also, I did contact said companies who explained I may be triggering anti fraud due to my previous actions, which in retrospect I wish I'd known better, but they told me they'd fixed the issues.

After which, I can quote once or twice before I again become blocked. This time, its simply to check against different vehicles. I do not make any changes to any other details!

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to fix this? Could it be a marker on my credit file that insurers see that I can't see on my usual file, as it seems okay from my end?

I know it's not the end of the world having to call up, but the ease of using online comparisons, or even online quotes by individual insurers is so much simpler.

Any advice is appreciated, I know if I was data searching when I was younger, I should have used 'fake' details, but retrospect is a great thing and it's too late now...

Thanks in advance,

MJ
