9 and I thought that was too many!!0

Surely if the accounts are in your wife's name then the accounts (and everything in them) belong to your wife.handful said:
Well having just read through this I'm feeling rather lazy and inadequate! I think I have 8 from memory including some in my wife's name and rather like you I thought I was OTT!!caeler said:9 and I thought that was too many!!0 -
39 including 2 current accounts, plus 1 credit card. Used to have more.0

Depends what you include.
For example, I've got a steady steam of about 30 fixes with Atom for the sole purpose of stoozing. So would you count that as 30 or just the 1 as (in my mind anyway) is effectively all 1 pot.1 -

Until the masses on this forum told me that once you're married there is none of my money your money thing - legally speaking it's our money.
So from then on that's how it was treated.0 -
Yes, that view is shared by many. Unfortunately those that have experienced an acrimonious divorce/ separation might not agree. Perhaps if you lay claim to her money your wife might expect you to pay the taxes on it ?B0bbyEwing said:

Who knows what will or can happen if things get bitter.
Have not long ago witnessed disgusting people contest wills that they really had no business contesting.
One things guaranteed though - the solicitor will get paid whatever the weather.
I personally split our money throughout our names. If one day that leads to her running off with my millions then such is life.
Once I found out I can't really do much to 'protect' my money then I gave up the idea. Not that I see us separating but then I guess nobody does. I also think we could be grown up about it if it did happen but then I suppose everyone thinks that too.0 -
Guesstimate but I have 8 current accounts, at least half of which have linked EA/RS.
Then I have around the same amount of 'separate' regular savers, a couple of bonds and just the one ISA so its roughly around the 20-25 figure.0 -
It doesn't matter how much or how many you've got, it's what you do with It that matters.😇😇0
