St Albans City Taxi Rank PCN

Hello all!
So I made a mistake which I cannot afford the £100 fine for! I have previously run from the taxi rank to drop off a parcel on numerous occasions prior to the new rules which I have only found out about since this mistake!
Essentially, at St Albans City station there is a taxi rank next to parcel drop offs. They have recently now put up cameras, bollards and very wordy/long signs that you cannot see until you enter said taxi rank.
There is one sign prior to entering which is too long and small to read and I honestly did not see from my car otherwise I wouldn’t have done it. However, once passing this completely unreadable sign there are now bollards meaning you cannot do a u-turn and rectify your mistake. So without knowing, I ran from my car and dropped the parcel off in under 5 minutes. I came back to a taxi driver filming my car and informing me I would get a ticket which I apologised for and then saw signs and cameras further down after you enter the rank which I had not seen before.
I am subsequently now awaiting a PCN from APCOA of £100.
Does anyone have any advice please?
