Bought a house at the end of June this year. Moved in a short time ago due to be place being refurbished.I had the radiators replaced as they were past their best. The boiler was installed in 2014 and according to the Home Report it had been maintained by Scottish Gas throughout. However, no paperwork to back this information up.
I contacted ideal heating as the boiler had an F1 error. They signed me up to the D&G Silver plan but sent one of their on engineers out on the 12th Oct to look at the problem. His report is below:
Replaced pcb and divertor cartridge and actuator. Customer has local engineer coming in to service and upgrade condense and white flue
On the 20th Oct the same F1 error occured. I went online and booked an appointment with D&G for the 21st Oct. Engineer attended. His report below:
ideal logic combi 30 gc 4734857 sn zy20458900159417 1426 Approx 9 years old no service history available at property bought house in June 2023 f1 error on arrival, had an ideal engineer week and half ago for same issue, pcb was replaced and a valve unsure what valve no docs. prv passing, shrader valve on expansion passing, faulty pressure sensor, suspect blocked, no magna clean filter fitted water quality really dirty, recommend flush and filter fitted parts required 1 pack shrader valves Part no 757911 Manufacturer : Ideal Part number : 175596 Description : WATER PRESSURE TRANSDUCER Quantity : 1 Title : Ideal >> Boiler >> Logic >> 30 (GC No. 4734857) >> Ideal Logic Combi 24, 30, 35 / Zanussi Ultra - Parts >> Water Management Manufacturer : Ideal Part number : 175413 Description : PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE KIT Quantity : 1 Title : Ideal >> Boiler >> Logic >> 30 (GC No. 4734857) >> Ideal Logic Combi 24, 30, 35 / Zanussi Ultra - Parts >> Water
I contacted a local company who were too busy to attend but said I should be going back to ideal as it was up to them to put things right not D&G
My thoughts are that either a lot has been missed by the Ideal engineer or the D&G contractor is not being truthful. The reason I say the latter is that the engineer who drained and installed the new radiators and refilled the system, commented how clean the water was. This was around 6 weeks ago.
I was being shunted between Ideal and D&G neither willing to sort things out, as I was in my 14 days coooling off period I cancelled the insurance. Due to my 1 star review on Trustpilot Ideal are supposely investigating the matter. Before the review they weren't interested - contact D&G!
II have now had no hot water heating for 6 days and am unsure what to do next. The fact that ideal replaced components and 6 days after the intial fault the same fault re-occured. I believe they should come back out. The customer service team were saying it was OK when they left!
Any thoughts / advise greatly appreciated
Cheers
