Halifax - Saver Prize Draw

Just wondered, has anyone here actually won anything, or know of others via other channels?
When rates were low, it was probably worth taking a punt (in it to win it etc), but it's definitely not worth doing now unless you already have funds in their savings range.

I won once, years ago.
A recorded delivery letter turned up.
It tells you of a win, but not how much.
I hot footed it to a branch.
I produced the letter. The cashier tapped away on her computer. I waited. And waited. And waited some more.
The cashier went to get a manager.
I was taken to his office.
I held my breath.
£100
The lowest value prize.
Obviously I was very grateful, but premium bonds don't send recorded delivery letters for the smaller prizes, so the whole rigmarole had started to get me imagining a significant prize...5 -
I've got 2 Halifax/BoS RS accounts which get fed £250/month each. I think that means that after 10 months I will qualify for entry into the draw since my savings balance will hit £5K - but will stop after 12 months when the funds get shifted elsewhere because HBS/BoS don't have a competitive account to keep them in.
I'll register for the draw anyway but won't order the Porsche just yet.
Thanks for the reminder that this extra exists.0 -
I've been in it almost 4 years and not won......but then I've never had any expectation of winning.0
