YBS, Skipton, NS&I allow debit card payments and chip allows Apple Pay. Can you please share any more you’re aware of which accept debit card deposits or Apple Pay? Thanks in advance.

WHY ?.
You loose 2/3 days interest while the debit card payment clears.0 -
Because some current accounts require so many or so much to be spent via debit card to obtain rewardsI consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?2

£500 at 5.2% would earn c.£2.60 pa, so about 22p pm
Do one debit card transaction a month and, subsequently, lose about 22p worth of interest, using 12*2/3 days, and gain £60 pa per account/reward.
Seems like good practise to me 🤷♂️
I do it twice, once for each account, so lose about 44p of interest, in return for £120pa.
Update: Just did a search of the forum, as have seen similar question asked many times here over recent years, and apparently many threads have been removed as spam as some forumites do not like this information being shared, for fear of banks and building societies removing the facility so as to avoid it being exploited. This thread may go the same way then, eventually.0 -

Look back through the forums and you will find lots of people asking for ways to use debit cards.
And yes I also use my debit card for Halifax rewards, makes me £15 a month.
I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.0 -

Why would any BS or other such organisations not allow it? How would they benefit?

I think Close Bros allows debit cards. They certainly did for a fixed cash ISA I opened
