switching to a consumer account from business with O2

HI, in brief, i'm now retired (yesssssssssss) after running my own business for 40yrs. myself and partner wish to retain our phone numbers but just switch to a consumer account. Despite having paid tens of thousands over the years to O2 for all employee phone contracts this apparently is not an option. Because.....I don't pass the consumer credit check!!! I have no debts, no mortgage etc etc and my rating is highest it can be. O2 are unable to tell me why i dont pass despite a request to their credit check team. So I am on a monthly contract, which is expensive and not as comprehensive as our business contract was. Any thoughts???

Get a consumer account elsewhere and port the number.0

I can recommend giffgaff which is the budget arm of O2. They are an MVNO on the O2 network. Easy to port the number and you can set up monthly recurring payments so it feels like a contract but they do not do a credit check.0
