Apparently, according to the link someone posted further up on this thread, HSBC can be very selective in comparison to other banks. What their exact tick boxes are, who knows?dudhid said:I applied for the HSBC Advance account as advised but was rejected without reason. Is there a minimum income amount required for this account (and offer?)
I successfully applied but my wife's application was rejected. The only difference is that her income was considerably lower than mine and under £16,000.0 -
HSBC's acceptance criteria for the Advance account are known only to HSBC - so unless HSBC post on here you're unlikely to get an answer.Coco2021 said:Is there a minimum income amount required for this account (and offer?)

But if you browse through the many multiple threads on here about this offer you'll find that many people are reporting they've been rejected, for no reason known to them. Some of them quite upset. This happens every time HSBC do a promo on their Advance account!1 -
It could be a factor but it’s not the only factor as many people, myself included, have been rejected despite earning more than that.Coco2021 said:Is there a minimum income amount required for this account (and offer?)

It would be interesting to see the income of applicants to get a rough idea, but of course, would be rude to ask!
It certainly seems to be a factor though, and for that reason I won't be getting the Mrs to apply.0
