Failed Three Credit Check but no idea why

Hi all,
I just tried to order a 5G router from Three, it has said that I failed the credit check. The only reason I can think I may have failed is because I have only been in my current job for two months. However, I have over two decades of unbroken employment.
I have no CCJs, no defaults, no late payments, I have a mortgage, I have credit cards which are always paid on time. I am a higher rate tax payer. I have checked my credit record and it has nothing on it which contradicts any of this.
Any ideas? I assume a failed credit check would have an adverse impact on my credit file?
Thanks

A credit check, failed or successful, will have minimal impact, it is simply a credit check either way.Have you checked all 3 reference agencies to see if there are any anomalies, a usual one with the mobile providers seems to be a very slight address mismatch between what is held by the CRA and what you put on the application.1
